GlobalTT Belgium is a major provider of satellite communication solutions, and we are looking for an IT LAN Engineer/Technician to join our team in Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium.
The ideal candidate must have at least three to five years of successful experience in the same field and technology, a solid foundation in IT, LAN networks, computer Mikrotik routers, and Cisco routers, as well as a solid understanding of telecom Wi-Fi, VHF/UHF, and satellite telecom technologies DVB-S2 and Sx.
An experience in broadcast television through satellite (encoding, Zixi, multiplexing) provides a distinct advantage.
You will be responsible for the daily operation, maintenance, update and upgrade, server and virtual machine, local applications, alarm and monitoring systems, client assistance, and equipment preparation of our satellite teleport/gateway, as well as our client.
You will utilize cutting-edge technology, such as satellite, satellite modem & routers, Wi-Fi, and the majority of wireless technology, IP LAN technology, internet technology, cybersecurity, and fiber.
As a member of our team, you will eventually work on our new projects, however your primary responsibility will continue to be daily operations for the first month.. The job/position will also involve troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electronic circuits and systems for satellite communication solutions, as well as installing and maintaining LAN networks, computers/servers, Mikrotik routers, and Cisco routers, which are all part of our satellite communication solutions.

- Electronic engineering or a closely related field with a bachelor’s degree is necessary.
- 3-5 years of similar industry experience.
- Extensive understanding of computer, Mikrotik and Cisco routers, LAN networks, and IT, as well as the necessary certifications.
- Need familiarity and competence with Servers, Windows, Linux, and Virtual machines.
- Knowledge of satellite and telecom technologies, such as MODCOD and DVB-S2/S2x, is highly advantageous.
- Superior analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Competent in electrical and electronic fundamentals.
- Excellent understanding of computer security.
- Ability to work both independently and cooperatively.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
- Having a remarkable ability to keep a detailed strategy and summarize all possibilities.
- A commitment to cooperation, loyalty, and project success.
- At least flawless in both spoken and written English; French is a plus.
